SEPTEMBER 1997 SHOW
Artist reception Friday, September 5th, 6-8 pm.
Many photographers feel the need to travel to exotic locales to seek inspiration for their work. Not so with Seattle photographer TOM FEHER. Mr. Feher's still, quiet landscapes are photographed at rather mundane Seattle area locals -- the University of Washington, the steps at Alki or pilings at Everett. Under his watchful, careful eye ordinary subjects become moments of mystery and exoticism. The simple and familiar yield beauty and tranquility in his darkroom. Feher's small black-and-white photographs are jewels in the making.
