Sam Rice has studied and taught acrylic painting and fiberglass sculpture at the San Antonio Art Institute. Over the past 30 years he has traveled the world honing his artistic skills. Sam has traveled, lived, and worked in France, Greece, Norway, Turkey, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines and Korea. His paintings of fantastic surreal scenes have sold around the world, not only in the previously mentioned countries but also in Australia, New Zealand, New Guinea, Switzerland, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, England, and throughout the United States.

Sam now resides in Federal Way, Washington, where he has been owner and operator of "Sam's Studios Inc." since 1983 and of "The Dutch Connection" since 1991. Continuing to refine and expand his craft, he participates in art classes at the University of Washington ASWU Experimental College and the Pratt Fine Arts Center.
